Math Club

The goal of the Math Club is to challenge students and peak their interest in mathematics by presenting them math concepts above and beyond the existing curriculum being studied at St. Louise. Math Club in no way alters the existing math curriculum. All eighth-grade students will cover the same topics in Algebra. Club membership is being offered to all eight-grade students. The club will cover advanced topics and should not be considered a place for students to get Algebra help. Membership in the club is strictly voluntary. The club will meet once a week (usually Thursday) before school, and there will be no grade or homework associated with the Math Club. The objective is to investigate interesting topics in math and to give those that enjoy mathematics a place to enhance that enjoyment. We also plan to enter some Math competitions at area high schools such as Nazareth.
