Homework Club

Each Jr. high teacher is available once a week for homework help until 3:30. Students may choose to stay and receive help, or a teacher may request their attendance. In order to stay the student needs a signed permission slip allowing him or her to stay after school. It is possible that during class a teacher may request that a student stay for that day’s homework club. In that event the child would call home for permission to stay since it was not planned. Any homework may be completed by the student during homework club; the homework does not need to be from the teacher supervising homework club. It is expected that the students will be engaged in school related work during this time. If their homework is completed, they should study or have a book available to read. All students participating in the club will be dismissed through the school office.

Please read through the three choices carefully and select what will best meet the needs of your child. If your child is scheduled to attend homework club weekly, we expect your child to be in attendance every day indicated. If your child will not be attending then a note must be sent that day excusing him or her from homework club. If a note is not received your child will need to stay at school for homework club. If your child is scheduled to attend homework club on an as needed basis, then a note must be sent on the days he or she will attend. We want to be clear whose attendance is expected each day.
